Hal Ezzell


Councilmember Hal Wm. Ezzell has lived in Norman for over 30 years. Hal is an attorney in private practice specializing trusts, estate planning and taxation. He began his service on City Council in July of 2007. Council Member Ezzell currently serves on the Council Finance Committee and the Board of Trustees of the City of Norman Retirement System.


Hal graduated from Norman High School. Hal received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.


Ward 3 generally encompasses the area of west Norman, including west of 24th Avenue West from the City Limits to Robinson, then 36th Avenue N.W. to Rock Creek Road, then 48th Avenue N.W. to Indian Hills Road.


Hal has served on the board for the Center for Children and Families and is previously served on the board of Independent Living Services for Youth (ILSY). Hal is also on the Board of Directors for the First Presbyterian Church of Norman Foundation. He is a member of the Norman Chamber of Commerce and a graduate of the Leadership Norman Class in 2005.


Councilmember Ezzell currently serves as Chair of the Council Business and Community Affairs Committee and is a member of the Finance Committee.
