Profile for Dan Quinn

Councilmember Dan Quinn began his official service with the City of Norman as Councilmember for Ward Eight on July 5, 2006. Ward Eight includes the northwest portion of the city with boundaries of the City Limits on the north side, 48th Avenue N.W. to Rock Creek Road.  12th Avenue West on the Est to Rock Crrek Road to 12th East to Robinson.  It also includes a small area that includes all of Westwood Park, Cleveland School and the surrounding neighborhood.

Councilmember Quinn serves as Chair of the Finance Committee and is a member of the Business and Community Affairs Committee. He previously served as Chair of the Transportation Committee and Council's representative on the Norman Public Schools Citizens Advisory Committee.

Dan has lived in Ward Eight for 28 years. He has a bachelors and masters degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Dan was the Principal of Norman High School from 1994 through 1997, and the Principal of Norman North High School from 1997 through 2002, retiring from the Norman Public School System June 30, 2002, after 34 years of service. He is currently a Real Estate Associate with Old Town Realtors.

Dan wants to continue improving the community and “Quality of Life’ in Norman that makes it a unique community in which to live.
